Artists
Susan Blubaugh
Morton, Washington
Medium: Pysanky & Wax Resist
I have many art interests but pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) are the love of my life. I find that engaging in this wax-resist art form is a relaxing and meditative. The sketching of the initial design, followed by a secession of waxing and dyeing, allows me to listen to music, audio books, or simply to think.
Lyn Craig
Toledo Washington
Medium: Ceramics
I create art in clay and in oil paintings, inspired by the natural beauty of the Northwest. I am deeply moved by the region’s arching mountains, vibrant forests, and tangles of flowers and foliage – favoring the colors, patterns, and textures that are visible to the eye, as well as the rhythms that lie just under the surface.
Everett Croston
Morton, Washington
Medium: Wood & Resin
I am a veteran from the U.S. Marine Corps, who was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and I love spending time adventuring outdoors. I am a self-taught woodworking artist who creates unique, handcrafted items out of wood and resin, bringing elegance to any home.
Daniel Eggleston
Belfair, Washington
Medium: Pyrography
I learned wood burning in the Cub Scouts. As a retired teacher I now work at my hobby full time as a pyrographer, doing all work by hand. I was an outdoor vendor in a small farmer’s market in Belfair and did fairly well. Now, I’ve got some of my work on display here at the BCJ Gallery.
Custom orders are welcomed – contact the BCJ Gallery staff for details.
Anne Espedal
Salkum, Washington
Medium: Flowed Acrylics
I could never imagine a world without color. I have become obsessed with watching people’s faces when they see the colors and crazy imagination that for a moment brings smiles to their faces. Children are drawn to my work as they point out the little “creatures” that gets them excited. That is special.
Jesse Hughs
Ferndale, Washington
Medium: Pottery
I graduated from Ferndale High School in 2015, and that is where I first developed my passion for pottery. I enjoy creating functional pottery for others to use, such as cups, bowls, pie plates and soup mugs, to name a few. When I am not making pottery, you can find me playing ultimate frisbee or at a local garage sale searching for treasure to add to my collections!
Jane Hutchison
Selah, Washington
Medium: Jewelry & Painting
I’ve lived in the Wenatchee Valley for over 70 years. My family ranch was established in 1874 and I have a deep love for the surrounding sagebrush hills and forested mountains which is reflected in my art. My love for painting and crafts bloomed at the age of seven. Now retired, I create art, design/make jewelry and play piano.
Mary Dawn Kurtzbein

Medium: Jewelry
Let me join you on your journey. I’m a precious metal and lapidary artist, living in Centralia, and can also be found at the Jewelry Boutique, downtown Centralia, where I do repairs and commissions of all kinds. Growing up in Morton, at the foothills of Bremer Mountain, gave me a deep love of nature and a lifelong sense of adventure that unfolds in my jewelry making, which I guarantee for life. Let’s go!
Mary Ann Mathis
Olympia, Washington
Medium: Painting
I am an artist who works mainly in oils on canvas. I am known for my semi-realism work, but have more recently expanded into abstract paintings and acrylic pours. Greeting cards and prints of my paintings are available at the BCJ Gallery.
I hope you enjoy my artwork even half as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Mary O'Haver
Ashford, Washington
Medium: Painting
I grew up in the shadow of beautiful, majestic Mount Rainier. Ashford has been my home and studio location since 2015. Enjoyment as a commercial interior designer for eight years brings color appreciation and pleasant dimension to my northwest-themed watercolor art. It is my desire that you enjoy and take home with you a small piece of my Mount Rainier heritage.
